Jignesh K. Patel, MD, PhD
Jignesh K. Patel is a Cardiologist at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He obtained his medical degree from Medical School, University of Cambridge in 1989 and Internship in General Surgery from Lewisham Hospital/Guy’s Hospital in 1990. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine from Cleveland Clinic Foundation followed by Fellowship in Cardiology from University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.
Dr. Patel has had a longstanding interest in all aspects of cardiovascular disease with special expertise in the management of patients with advanced heart failure and following cardiac transplantation. He has been the principal investigator or co-investigator of more than 25 research projects in areas related to heart failure and cardiac transplantation, including clinical trials of novel immunosuppressive agents, non-invasive technologies for the detection of rejection and multi-center trials of device therapy in congestive heart failure.
