D. Eric Steidley, MD

Dr. Steidley was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Haverford College where he obtained an undergraduate degree in History. He then went to medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers University) followed by a Residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Dr. Steidley finished his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Temple University in Philadelphia in 2003 and joined the Mayo Clinic Arizona where he established a heart failure clinic. He later served as an Associate Chair of Cardiology and Director of Inpatient Cardiology Services and in 2014 he assumed the role of Medical Director of Cardiac Transplant.

His clinical practice is focused on heart failure, transplant and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Steidley participates in clinical research in the areas of cardiac amyloidosis, heart failure devices, and cardiovascular risk assessment in renal transplant recipients. He is on faculty at the Mayo School of Medicine and adjunct appointment at Arizona State University.
