Leyla Shune, MD
Leyla Shune is an Associate Professor at University of Kansas Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, Istanbul, Turkey followed by residency from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota and fellowship in hematology/ oncology from the same University. She also received a Bone Marrow Transplantation Fellowship from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2014.
Dr. Shune is associated with American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT) and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Her clinical interests are in areas like umbilical cord blood transplantation, blood and marrow transplantation, allogeneic stem cell transplantation, haplotype mis-matched allograft transplantation, hematological malignancies, lymphoproliferative disorders, autoimmune diseases, leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes, multiple myeloma, clinical trials research etc.
