Dr. Amit R. Patel is Professor at UVA Health. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his fellowship from Temple University Hospital- University of Virginia Health System. His areas of expertise are congenital heart disease, cardiac imaging, cardiac amyloidosis, etc.
Dr. Amit Patel served as Associate Professor of Medicine and Radiology at the University of Chicago Medicine. He uses advanced imaging techniques such as cardiac magnetic resonance (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) to provide individualized therapies for patients with heart disease. He has a specific clinical interest in the care of adults with congenital heart disease and those with infiltrative heart disorders, such as cardiac sarcoidosis and amyloidosis.
